Full-Time Positions

Residential Coordinator - Boone, NC

Coordinate and ensure consistent clinical services for I/DD group home residents.  Work with Group Home Managers in managing the operations of residential services which includes staffing, service delivery, and assuring a safe, pleasant, and organized living environment.  Ensure compliance with licensing and accreditation requirements.  Responsible for on-call responsibilities and assurance of back-up staffing.  Bachelor’s Degree in related field, two years’ experience in the field of I/DD, and QP status for I/DD population are required.  Background check, MVR check, Driver's License with acceptable driving record, and reliable vehicle required.   Full Time with excellent benefits including Medical, Dental, Vacation/Holiday/Personal paid time off, Retirement, Travel Reimbursement, etc. 

Group Home Shift Leader - Boone, NC

Assure residents’ health and safety while providing a home atmosphere.  Administer medications and support residents in their home with personal care, meals, and daily living skills.   Provide positive community integration experiences and related educational activities for day service participants.  Implement participants’ goals according their individual plans.  Keep accurate records and documentation of daily activities and progress for each participant/resident as required by applicable standards.  High school education and two years of experience in related area or equivalent combination of education and experience required.  Need ability to effectively work with adults with developmental disabilities.  Background check, MVR check, Driver's License with acceptable driving record, and reliable vehicle required.   Work 7 consecutive days (Wednesday to Wednesday) that include staying overnight, followed by 7 days off.  Full Time with excellent benefits including Medical, Dental, Vacation/Holiday/Personal paid time off, Retirement, Travel Reimbursement, etc. 

IDD Direct Services Instructor - Boone, NC

Responsible for assisting individuals with disabilities meet their goals.  Provide adaptive skills training, positive integrative community experiences, and related educational activities.  Keep accurate records and documentation of daily activities and progress for each participant as required by service standards.  Implement participants’ goals according their individual plans.  Assist participants in facility based services to meet manufacturing and quality standards.  Act as an advocate and communicate professionally with other agencies, families, staff, etc.  High school diploma, two years of experience in related area, and ability to effectively work with adults with disabilities required. Background check, MVR check, Driver's License with acceptable driving record, and reliable vehicle required.  Monday-Friday, Day Time hours.  Excellent benefits including Medical, Dental, Vacation/Holiday/Personal paid time off, Retirement, Travel Reimbursement, etc.

Community Employment Job Coach - Positions Available in Asheville & Hickory, NC

Develop community employment sites and provide on-site training of job responsibilities, duties, and appropriate social skills for adults with disabilities.  Maintain on-going communication and positive relationships between employers, program participants, and various agencies.  Must be flexible in work duties and work hours (will include some nights, weekends and holidays).  Regional travel required.  Prefer bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent experience with adults with disabilities.  Background check, MVR check, Driver's License with acceptable driving record, and reliable vehicle required.   Full Time with excellent benefits including Medical, Dental, Vacation/Holiday/Personal paid time off, Retirement, Travel Reimbursement, etc. 

Student Employment Education Instructor / Pre-Employment Transitions Specialist - Positions Available in Alexander, Ashe, Caldwell, Catawba, Surry, & Wilkes Counties

Plan and provide pre–employment services to students with disabilities based off of their needs and interests.  Provide job exploration counseling including vocational testing, community job shadowing and sampling, and self-advocacy training.  Assist with recruitment of students within the school systems and enrollment into program services.  Maintain positive interactions with community agencies (schools, VR, etc.)  Assure compliance with all applicable standards and maintain accurate and updated files. Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in a human service related field with 3 years’ experience working with youth in transition related services or a comparable combination of education and experience.  Background check, MVR check, Driver's License with acceptable driving record, and reliable vehicle required.  Job is integral to school operation and student presence, therefore, the use, scheduling, and approval of vacation requests will follow the school operation calendar.  Full Time with excellent benefits including Medical, Dental, Vacation/Holiday/Personal paid time off, Retirement, Travel Reimbursement, etc.  Position is based out of local High Schools.

 

Part-Time Positions

Group Home Personal Care Attendant - Boone, NC

Assist residents in their home with personal care and hygiene goals, daily living skills, personal safety, and recreation/leisure skills.  Administer medications and prepare meals.  Need ability to keep accurate records and work independently. High school diploma and ability to work with adults with disabilities required.  Background check, MVR check, Driver's License with acceptable driving record required.  Part Time. Evening and weekend hours.

Driver / Production Model Worker - Jefferson, NC

Use equipment to securely load and unload pallets of product in a delivery truck and safely transport to local destination.  Safely transport individuals to and from destination in agency vehicles.  Perform production work; including packaging, sorting, and product assembly.  Meet production rates and quality standards.  Must have the ability to act as a model for and work with people with disabilities.  Driver’s License, acceptable motor vehicle record, and background check required.  Part-time, approximately 24 hours per week.  Day-Time hours with no weekends.
